Flo-Drum screen in a municipal wastewater application

Flo-Drum screen in a municipal wastewater application.

The Flo-Drum fine screen provides the ultimate in high screenings capture efficiency for municipal sewage, sludge and industrial wastewater applications.  The rotating drum, cleaning brush and water spray ensure a clean screen surface is always available to meet the incoming wastewater flow.  Screenings captured on the drum surface are immediately swept into the auger trough and moved out of the screening zone.

Enviro-Care Features and Benefits Head

Flo-Drum systems perform four functions in one unit – screening, conveying, washing and dewatering - Eliminates the need for multiple pieces of equipment.

Bottom bronze bearing 8 – 12 mm depending on screen size - Lifetime lubrication with no maintenance required.

Hinged and latched compaction zone cover - Provides ease of access with no tools required.

Flo-Drum units are available for in-channel or in tank applications - Same efficient operation for either gravity or pumped flows.

Screenings are completely enclosed within the transport tube and dewatering zone. Optional bagger available - Creates a cleaner, drier screenings area with reduced odor.
Common drive operates the rotating screen basket and screw conveyor -Synchronized operation for lower energy consumption and less maintenance.
Flo-Drum screens contain three separate washing functions - The unit is designed to wash organics from the screenings and be self-cleaning at the basket and in the dewatering zone.
Screening drum is available in either wedgewire or perforated plate - Custom engineered to meet specific application requirements.
Optional heat tracing is available - Screens are easily adapted for outdoor installations in colder climates.
