Enviro-Care Flo-Station Logo

Any wastewater treatment plant accepting septage knows that is can be unpredictable.   Whether a plant is storing and metering the septage into the treatment process or direct discharging into the headworks, each batch of septage requires immediate treatment. Septage is a highly concentrated waste with heavy solids, large amounts of grit, and often rocks.

By discharging directly into an Enviro-Care Flo-Station SR Septage Receiving System, the first phase of treatment, solids removal, can be completed efficiently and quickly.  As septage is being discharged into the Flo-Station SR tank, a durable Flo-Sieve screen with perforated media is capturing the solids.  The solids are conveyed by a shaftless spiral to a dewatering zone where liquid is removed.  The dewatered solids can be discharged directly into a dumpster or an optional bagger.

Enviro-Care Flo-Station PhotoThe Flo-Station SR can be equipped with optional pH sensors and other sampling options set to predetermined limits.  If a batch of septage falls outside of those limits, the discharge process is terminated.  By adding a security system to the hauler station with established hauler ID, flow meters and billing features, a self-contained Flo-Station SR Septage Receiving System can operate 24/7 without plant personnel in attendance.

Enviro-Care Features and Benefits

A Flo-Sieve screen with perforated media provides the screening, conveying and dewatering functions - Reliability of the Flo-Sieve screen’s shaftless spiral technology.

Flo-Sieve brush is adjustable - Simple maintenance procedure keeps brushes in constant contact with the screen.

Optional rock trap is available - Captures excessively large solids.

Flow is contained within a fully gasketed, stainless steel tank with safety interlocking covers - Odor is controlled and the tank covers cannot be inadvertently opened during the discharge operation.

Tanks have a spray wash system - After each load the screen basket and tank is washed of organic material.

Hinged compaction zone access covers with safety interlock switch - Full access to the compaction zone and no tools required.

Flow is controlled by an automatic, electrically activated full port ball valve - Fully regulated flow and shut off.

Optional software can provide discharge, hauler ID and flow data to plant central billing - A self-contained, unmanned, 24/7 receiving system can be provided by the wastewater treatment plant to septage haulers.
